A lifelong fascination with the U.S. financial markets coupled with a strong entrepreneurial spirit have taken Jim Casey from college graduate to president of Integrated Wealth Management (IWM); one of the country’s fastest growing and most highly regarded wealth management and investment counseling organizations, in just two decades.
In 1986, upon graduating cum laude from the State University of New York at Binghamton with dual major in psychology and business, Jim entered the Wall Street based Integrated Resources Equity Corporation (IREC) training program. By early the following year, he’d been promoted to Senior Investment Analyst for IREC’s Los Angeles based wholly owned subsidiary, Integrated Financial. In mid-1989, Jim joined the AMA Investment Advisors, a wholly owned subsidiary of the American Medical Association, as Regional Vice President for the western United States.
Upon learning the AMA planned to diversify their holdings, Jim made an offer to purchase the western region, which was accepted in early 1996. From this foundation, he created Physician’s Asset Management, Inc. (PAMI) to handle the financial needs of high-net worth medical professionals throughout the western United States.
In 2001, Jim was hired by the Screen Actor’s Guild Foundation to manage the organization’s financial growth. He established a new division; Integrated Wealth Management, to meet their needs as well as those of other entertainment professionals and foundations, including, amongst others, the Motion Pictures Players Welfare Club, American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA) and non-medially related high net worth clients.
The growth of these firms has been stellar, with a 252% increase in assets under management since 2002. The November 3, 2006 issue of Medical Economics magazine included Jim on its’ list of The 150 Best Financial Advisors for Doctors. And, in 2005, 2006 and 2007 IWM earned a coveted spot on the Bloomberg Wealth Manager Annual Ranking of America’s Top Wealth Managers.
Jim has a firm belief in sharing his success with others and helping the communities in which he works and lives become flourishing ones. He regularly donates money and time to important organizations such as the Palm Springs International Film Festival and the Palm Springs Walk of Stars, both of which he sits on the board, Equality California and the Palm Springs Art Museum. |
