What are 3 words people use to describe you?

My wife. Best decision I ever made.

Being a dad. Nothing better than throwing a ball around with the kids. They think I’m awesome.

What is the best advice you have ever been given?
Measure twice, cut once.

What is your proudest achievement?
Beating my wife in Trivial Pursuit. It’s only happened once.

I like John Wooden’s definition: “Success is peace of mind which is a direct result of self-satisfaction in knowing you did your best to become the best you are capable of becoming.”

What life lesson did you learn the hard way?
Never play with fireworks near dry fields. I learned that when I was 11 years old. Applies in life and investing.

What was the best book you’ve read and why?
I recently read “7 Habits for Highly Effective People” by Stephen Covey again. Great application to important, fundamental principles of life.
